The Child-Friendly Space: "Children’s Smile Factory"

In response to the challenging conditions of Al-Ghayl District, affected by war, rugged terrain, destroyed schools, and the suspension of salaries, where most children are now out of school and deprived of basic necessities such as quality education and a suitable environment, Yemen Al-Khair for Relief and Development (YARD) has established child-friendly spaces. These spaces are part of the project aimed at enhancing protection services, camp coordination and management, and education for vulnerable people in Al-Jawf Governorate, funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF). The child-friendly space in Al-Ghayl District offers the following activities:

- Various recreational games.

- Creative and recreational activities such as drawing, comic books, puzzles, and coloring.

- Community awareness programs.

- Psychosocial support.

- Legal assistance (personal identification cards, birth certificates).

- Emergency cash assistance under case management.

- Multi-purpose cash assistance.

- External referrals.
