YARD Continues efforts and Distributes Cash Assistance for House Rehabilitation Activity in Al-Ghayl, Al-Hazm and Bart Al-Anan Districts

On Sunday, February 4, 2024, Yemen Al-Khair Foundation for Relief and Development (YARD) continued monitoring the distribution of cash assistance (second and final installments) for 187 BNFs whose houses were partially damaged during the war in Al-Jawf Governorate. The activity is funded by United Nation High Commission for Refugees in coordination with SCMCHA and other relevant stakeholders.

 YARD team  followed up the distribution process of cash assistances ford house rehabilitation activity that is implemented through Self- Based Approach which give chance for BNFs implementing the activity under YARD engineering team direct supervision.  BNFs were found motivated as they successfully implemented the first and second rehabilitation stages giving chance for skilled and unskilled workers and improve livelihood in the community.

 

For its part, YARD SMT ensured to follow up the donors for more funds to complete the rehabilitation of the remained partially damaged houses considering such activity very sustainable and facilitate return of displaced to their original locations where they can live safely.

 

The beneficiaries in the targeted districts expressed their full happiness for receiving cash assistance to rehabilitate their houses confirming that the cash assistance would meet rehabilitation needs according to the nature of the local architectural construction in the region.
