YARD Launches Integrated and Life-Saving Response Project in Al-Rayyan, Al-Jawf Governorate

Yemen Alkhair for Relief and Development Foundation (YARD) launches the "Integrated Life-Saving Response for Conflict-Affected IDPs and Host Communities" funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF), in the Al-Rayyan sub-District, Khab wa Ash Sha’af district in Al-Jawf Governorate. The initiative aims to address urgent humanitarian needs and enhance multi-sectoral interventions.
 
The project targets 3,155 households among internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities in high-need locations and camps, which include: Mashniqah, Al-Muhtafer, Al-Jawfa’a, and Al-Sudayhat.
 
The project encompasses a comprehensive package of interventions across three key sectors:
- Food Security: Monthly cash assistance ($106) for 500 households over 6 months.
- Protection: Cash assistance for 900 protection cases, 50 case management cases, legal aid for 700 individuals, psychosocial support for 450 people, and 4 community networks.
- WASH: Rehabilitation of Mashniqah water scheme (9,660 beneficiaries), trucking 7,020 m³ of drinking water for 5,200 individuals, 585 hygiene kits, and 20 accessible latrines.
 
This intervention reflects the ongoing commitment of YARD, in partnership with YHF, to alleviate the suffering of crisis-affected households, improve their living conditions, and ensure a safe and dignified environment for targeted communities.
