Within the (CCCM) Project, YARD is Completing Maintenance Work for the Targeted 15 IDPs' Hosting Sites in Al-Jawf Gov
Within the Camp Coordination and Camp Management Project (CCCM), funded by UNHCR, YARD is implementing the third phase of maintenance work, which includes rehabilitating water sources as well as paving roads for 15 of the targeted IDPs' sites on December 9, 2020.
A specialized team of engineers and technicians made studies on the sites that suffer from the difficulty of obtaining potable water in a number of locations, namely (Al-Henw, Al-Murah, Al-AKhabab, Al-Namasah, Al-Shajan wa Maqaredh, Hillah, and Makareer). Accordingly, YARD has provided solar energy panels for the wells so as to help facilitate obtaining safe water. As for Al-Aynah site, a water point was constructed, including a basin to collect the surplus water from the spring, as well as a drainage of 300 meters. As for the Matraf site, YARD established a number of water points distributed within the site.
On the other hand, YARD carried out road paving works for 5 sites (Al-Sa’lawi - Khashi WA Robban - Nahyan - Al-Qabadhah - Al-Rehab and Al-Ghorabain). This comes as part of YARD's efforts to respond to the IDPs' needs in the target sites in order to help alleviate the difficulties and challenges they find in life.
