YARD Launches Legal Identity Documentation Support Activity for IDPs in Khab wa Al-Sha
Al-Jawf Governorate | October 2026
As part of its comprehensive life-saving humanitarian interventions, Yemen Al-Khair for Relief and Development Foundation (YARD) initiated an activity on October 6, 2026, to facilitate access to legal identity documentation for displaced families and host communities in Al-Rayan area, Khab wa Al-Sha'af District, Al-Jawf Governorate.
This intervention is carried out under the "Integrated Life-Saving Response Project for Conflict-Affected IDPs and Host Communities," funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF), and in coordination with the Local Authority of Al-Jawf Governorate and the Civil Status and Personal Registry Authority.
The activity directly supported beneficiaries in obtaining their official legal documents by dispatching a mobile field team from the Civil Status and Personal Registry Authority to the area, enabling a significant number of citizens and IDPs to access essential civil registration services.
YARD emphasizes that obtaining legal identification documents is a fundamental right for all, especially conflict-affected populations, reaffirming its commitment to working with local and international partners to promote protection and uphold the rights of vulnerable communities in remote areas.
