The Concluding Session on the Occasion of Achieving the Activities within Emergency WASH Project
On Wed. June 16, YARD organized project concluding session on the occasion of achieving the various activities with the WASH Emergency project, funded by the UN agency for children, UNICEF.
The project, targeting 46860 beneficiaries, aimed at improving the easy access of IDPs and affected people to water supplies, in addition to improving the proper practices of sanitation and hygiene in the targeted areas where the targeted IDPs and affected people live.
The following activities were ensured during the period of project implementation which continued from August, 2020 to May 2021.
Providing IDPs and Affected people with potable water supplies through trucking to their areas.
Construction of 150 latrines in IDPs Camps.
Conducting community awareness sessions on the proper practices of hygiene coincidently with distributing BHKs among the targeted people.
Construction and maintenance of 3 water treatment units in IDPs areas.
Rehabilitation of Al Rakham Water Project.
Rehabilitation of Malaha Water Project.
Implementing the complementary construction of the water network of Aal Ayedh project.
Implementing the complementary construction of the water network of Al Maton water project.
Construction of Aal Shanan water network.
Implementing the complementary construction of Al Maklah water network.
