Deputy Representative of UNHCR in Yemen Visits IDPs’ CC in Al Marashi District, Al Jawf Gov.

On Tuesday, June 29, the deputy representative of UNHCR in Yemen along with accompanying staff of both Sana’a and Sa’ada offices paid a visit to the IDP’s CC, managed by YARD, in Al Marashi district. The visitors were welcomed by the head of YARD, the executive director and the program manager in addition to SCMCHA director of Al Jawf Office, representatives of SCMCHA head office and some notables of Al Jawf governorate.

 

A meeting was held during the visit in which the needs of IDPs in Al Jawf governorate in the various sectors were discussed. The executive manager of YARD highlighted the interventions of UNHCR in Al Jawf governorate through YARD. He pointed out expanding the response in the governorate so as to include the other districts ensuring the mechanism of coordination with the related authorities.

 

The deputy representative of UNICHR referred to the importance of stating off with the quick impact projects (QIPs) indicating the desired goals of mitigating IDPs bad situations they are undergoing.

 

The visiting team paid an inspection visit to Wadi Sareera (Al Awasem) hosting site in Al Matammah district in which they listened to IDPs sufferings of inhabitants and the needs they required to be responded to.
