YARD Launches First Cash-for-Food Distribution Round for 500 Households in Khab wa Ash Sha'af, Al-Jawf
Yemen Al-Khair for Relief and Development Foundation (YARD) officially launched today, Wednesday, September 23, 2026, the first cash-for-food distribution cycle in Al-Rayyan Sub-District, Khab wa Ash Sha'af District, Al-Jawf Governorate. The distribution process will continue over the course of one week.
This distribution targets 500 vulnerable internally displaced households and host community members, based on approved criteria. The disbursements will continue across 6 consecutive and continuous distribution cycles throughout the project period, aiming to enhance food security levels and alleviate living hardships for residents in the area.
This intervention falls under the "Integrated Life-Saving Response Project for Conflict-Affected IDPs and Host Communities - 2026," implemented by YARD with funding from the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF) to deliver multi-sectoral emergency support in food security, protection, and WASH across Al-Jawf Governorate.
