On the 29th of Jul 2021, a rainy thunderstorm accompanied by strong winds exposed the Al Halif camp – Al Eshah sub-district – Al Ghayl district of Al-Jawf governorate. It led to the destroy the tents of the camp inhabitants IDPs.
It was tragic that in a glimpse of an eye, displaced families have neither shelter nor food. The strong wind was almost ripping their modest clothes. Children and women were frustrated; it was intimidated that suddenly they became homeless. They were seeking to spend their night in the host community houses, waiting for the sunrise to get back to their tattered tents that have been torn and damaged. "Where are we going, and what future awaits us in this life?", said the children while standing in front of their worn-out shelters, which represented their paradise.
As part of Rapid Response, YARD rapidly responded to the situation by distributing 23 RRM kits targeting 23 households.
