Mr. Nicholas, the Representative of UNHCR and his Delegation on an Inspection Visit to the IDPs Community Center in Al-Marashi District of Al-Jawf Governorate
A delegation from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) conducted an inspection visit to observe the progress of the activities of the YARD'S IDPs Community Centre in Al-Jawf Governorate on Thursday, November 11, 2021.
The Chairman, the head of the community center, representatives of SCMCHA, and a number of social figures in the province were there to welcome the visiting team. An extended meeting was led by the Chairman of YARD, in which he welcomed Mr. Nicholas, the representative of UNHCR, Mr. Omaid, the Head of UNHCR Sa'ada, al-Jawf Office, all the visiting delegation, representatives of SCMCHA and the local authorities' representative.
Different points concerning the running project of Protection, Shelter, and CCCM were discussed. The progress of the implemented activities of the project was illustrated according to a specific time plan. including to that, YARD team showed the completion rate of nine QIPs, along with projects plans that can be implemented within the the next year 2022 in the governorate.
In the meantime, Mr. Nicholas appreciated the efforts of the YARD's staff for the implemented progress, noting that the activities are on track in accordance with the implementation plans.
On the other hand, the visiting delegation carried out a review of some of the operational procedures for cash assistance activity within the project through the holding of a mini-revitalization workshop that included the field team of the project to update the survey and evaluation mechanism for emergencies and multi-purpose cash assistance.
At the end of the visit, the visiting delegation appreciated the efforts of the project team in the field and expressed their gratitude for the progress and achievement in providing humanitarian assistance and successfully reaching the objectives of the project.
