UNHCR Assistant Representative in Yemen Visits AL-Jawf Governorate

On the second of December,2023 the Assistant Representative of UNHCR along with his team paid an oversight field visit to Al Jawf governorate and got briefed on the rehabilitation activity of War Partially Damaged Houses in Al Ghayl district and the construction activity of transitional shelters for displaced families in AL Khalaq district. In addition, the visiting team cut the ribbon to open for new classrooms that have been recently constructed by YARD within Quick Impact Projects under the fund and supervision of UNHCR. Yemen AL Khair has been implementing the previously mentioned activities within protection shelter and CCCM activities. 

 

During the oversight field visit, UNHCR visiting team was briefed on the activities work progress and met some beneficiaries hearing from them about the services provided within protection, shelter and CCCM activities. The visiting team urged YARD team working in the field to intensify all possible efforts to support the sustainable projects that meet the need of the community.

 

The visiting team was welcomed by the manager of the information systems in SCMCHA Mr. Ahmad Mahdi, Eng. Abdullah Thawaba, the head of YARD, Mr. Naji Marig, the manager of the IDPs CC and other community high- level personals in the governorate.
