UNHCR, SCMCHA and YARD Pay an Oversight Visit to Quick Impact Projects in AL Jawf Governorate

On January 18th ,2023, UNHCR field office team  in Sa'adah and Al Jawf Hub represented by  filed office manager Mr. Mustafa Hassan and his accompanying delegation Mr. Abdullah Al Hadi, field associate, Mr. Mohamad Alfagih, senior protection assistant, Eng. Sameer Salah, shelter and CCCM sub national cluster coordinator and Mr. Abdullah Al Khathami, security and safety officer  paid an oversight field visit to AL Matammah and Az Zaher districts to get briefed on three  Quick Impact Projects (QIPs) implemented by YARD in coordination and cooperation with SCMCHA office in AL Jawf governorate during 2022 .

The three implemented QIPs were funded by UNHCR and included construction of two additional classrooms in Enabah school in AL Wahdah area, Az Zaher district, rehabilitating and furnishing Ad Dhelfan school and construction of medicine store with provision of solar system and medicine refrigerator for Huson A'al Shanan health center in AL Matammah district. During the visit, SCMCHA head of office in the governorate Mr. Khalid Shaja'a stated that such intervention is of high importance and reflects fruitful sustainable impact urging UNHCR to go ahead funding more QIPs in different factors to serve displaced and conflict affected communities in the governorate adding that SCMCHA is willing to pave the way for UNHCR and its implementing partner in the coming period and provide all possible support and facilitation.
 
On his part, UNHCR visiting team expressed deep sense of thanks for YARD exerted efforts that led to successful implementation of these projects which aimed at facilitating the access of displaced and war affected people to educational and health services in this district. In addition, UNHCR team appreciated the endless exerted efforts of SCMCHA office in AL Jawf governorate stating that their cooperation and coordination were very significant.
