The economic empowerment of women is very important, as it is considered one of the priorities of Yemen Al-Khair Foundation (YARD) to assist women in establishing income-generating projects, which were formed through training and empowering 85 women who are heads of their families in the field of (Home Gardening - Perfumes and Incense Production - Manufacture of Handicrafts and Accessories - Livestock), where livestock (sheep and fodder) was distributed to 25 women beneficiaries from the most vulnerable group in the Al-Humaydat district, targeting 30 trainees in the Home Gardening activity in the Al-Marashi district, 15 women trainees in Perfumes and Incense Production, and 15 women trainees in the Manufacture of Handicrafts and Accessories activity in Al-Hazm district.
This intervention is a part of social and livelihood activities implemented by YARD through IDPs Community Center in AL Jawf governorate in coordination with SCMCHA under the fund of UNHCR.
