YARD Distributes Non-Food Items for 1320 IDP and Returnee Families in Khab Wa Asha

On Monday, May 17, 2023, Yemen AL Khair for Relief and Development foundation (YARD) in coordination with Supreme Council for Managing and Coordinating Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation (SCMCHA) inaugurated the distribution activity of NFIs assistances for families in most need in Khab Wa Asha'af district, Al-Jawf governorate. 

The distribution activity targeted 1320 highly vulnerable families within protection, shelter, NFIs and CCCM project funded by UNHCR.

During the distribution activity, the project field officer stated that these assistances aimed to mitigate the suffering of the targeted families that have been experiencing critical living situation caused by the current humanitarian crisis.

The assistances provided include mattresses, household items, blankets, plastic sheets and baskets as well as flash light.

During the distribution activity, YARD mobile team conducted awareness sessions, provided psychosocial support for those in need and conducted some recreational activities for children.

BNFs were fully satisfied and expressed their deep sense of thanks and gratitude to YARD, UNHCR as well as SCMCHA appreciating their support that will help them cope with the current difficult living circumstances in the place of displacement.
