As part of its unwavering commitment to supporting the education sector, encouraging students to return to school, and fostering a safe and motivating learning environment, Yemen Al-Khair Foundation for Relief and Development (YARD) has implemented a series of educational activities in Khab wa Al-Sha’af District, with a primary focus on the most need areas in Al-Sha’af sub-district.
With generous funding from the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF), and in collaboration with the Offices of Education and Social Affairs, the interventions addressed key educational needs through:
- Construction of Al-Khoor and Al-Bijah schools in Al-Sha’af, including 6 classrooms, 4 latrines, and a water point connected to the main source in each school.
- Distribution of school bags and supplies to 275 boys and girls.
- Provision of incentives to 44 dedicated teachers.
- Delivery of 72 double school desks to improve classroom conditions.
These efforts contribute to creating a suitable learning environment while easing the burden on families—upholding every child’s right to education and reinforcing the belief that education is the cornerstone for building a brighter future.
