YARD Strengthens Shelter Support for Displaced Families in Al-Jawf Amid Harsh Winter Conditions

Yemen Al-Khair for Relief and Development Foundation (YARD) has distributed 242 tents to displaced families in Al-Muhtafar and Al-Sadihat camps in Khab wa Al-Sha’af District. This intervention, part of the "Integrated Response Project" funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF), was implemented in coordination with Local Authorities and the Executive Unit for IDPs to ensure efficient and transparent delivery.

During a field visit to inspect the materials and assess the impact, Eng. Abdullah Naji Thawaba, Chairman of YARD, emphasized that selecting "Al-Wadi type" tents was a successful choice, as they are a preferred shelter option for beneficiaries and are better suited for the harsh desert climate. He further highlighted the ongoing shelter gaps in the Al-Rayan area, where hundreds of families still live in unsafe conditions.
