YARD Concludes Training for 2,200 Households on Home Gardening and Nutrition in Shabwah

Shabwah Governorate (Habban, Usylan, Hatib)


Under the "Food Security Response and Resilience Project" (FSRRP) funded by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Yemen Al-Khair for Relief and Development Foundation (YARD) conducted specialized training sessions for 2,200 beneficiary households in the districts of Habban, Usylan, and Hatib.

The training program combined theoretical and practical modules on home garden management, irrigation techniques, and crop diversification. It also included nutrition awareness sessions to improve dietary habits, especially among women and caregivers, aiming to enhance household food security and resilience against economic and climate challenges.

Beneficiary Distribution:
-   Habban District: 1,000 households.
-   Hatib District: 800 households.
-   Usylan District: 400 households.

YARD remains committed to empowering local communities through capacity-building initiatives that promote sustainable home production and long-term food security in Shabwah.
