YARD Conducts a Training in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene.

Within the Lifesaving WASH, Shelter and CCCM Project, funded by YHF, in Al-Jawf and Dhamar governorates, targeting the districts of Al-Maton and Sanaban respectively, YARD’s Project Team has conducted Water and Sanitation Hygiene (WASH) Training. As well, these trainings attended by 10 Local Community Volunteers (Males and Females), from each targeted Governorate/District, who have been selected to Promote Hygiene among their communities.
In Al-Maton district, Al-Jawf governorate, the Training took place at Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed School, June 06, 2020 and attended by the district’s SCMCHA Representative, YARD YHF Project Manager and YARD YHF Monitoring and Evaluation Officer.
As of Sanaban district, Dhamar governorate, the Training took place at Al-Khansa’a School, June 07, 2020 and attended by a Representative of the Local Authority/Council and a Local Popular Sheikh.

It is worth mentioning that the Corona pandemic has been part of the Training Agenda, where the volunteers received education regarding the methods of prevention and the precautionary measures that everyone should be adhered to.
Both trainings witnessed an effective interaction between the volunteers and the trainers, where some practical examples demonstrated to assist the volunteers during the awareness sessions in the field.
