On Thursday, September 3rd, 2020, YARD held the second meeting for this year of WASH Cluster in Al-Hazm District in Al-Jawf Governorate. The meeting discussed the organizations' interventions in the fields of water and environmental sanitation, and the urgent needs for the rehabilitation of water projects in the governorate.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation,, the Director of Water Resources, the Director of the Environmental Protection Office, and representatives of a number of humanitarian organizations and civil society institutions. During the meeting, the new displacement movement and flood damage were reviewed.
The meeting touched on the level of achievement in projects implemented in the field of WASH, as well as emergency intervention to address the sanitation problem to curb the spread of epidemics. The meeting approved a number of measures and treatments that would alleviate the suffering of citizens in the governorate.
