YARD Hands-over 49 New Water Points in the Camps and Areas of the Internally Displaced People in Al-Jawf Governorate
Within the project: ‘Provision of Lifesaving WASH Emergency Response for New IDPPs in Al-Jawf Governorate’ funded by UNICEF, and on Saturday 24th October 2020, YARD handed over to the qualified contractor a number of 49 Sites as to establish New Water Points for the IDPs in Camps and Collective Areas in the districts of (Al-Khalq, Al-Hazm, Al-Maton, Al-Maslub, and Al-Gayla) in Al-Jawf Governorate. This activity aims at alleviating the suffering of the displaced and the affected people by providing clean drinking water on a daily basis. Some of Al-Jawf SCHMCHA representatives as well as representatives from Local Authority at districts level took part in the process of handing over the sites to the contractor who is the executor of the activity.
It’s worth pointing out that YARD has already been providing clean drinking water for 33 Water Points that were established earlier in the same-above mentioned targeted districts.
