MPCA assistances helped many IDPs get access to an income source and depend on themselves in the place of displacement. This is what was noted by IDPs CC staff when interviewing Basheer Saleh, a father of 8 children living in a small tent in Al-Marashi district. "I have received three MPAs assistances and could buy this engine to start my business and improve my living," he said to IDPs CC staff. As a displaced householder, Basheer is now working at his engine and saving money on a daily basis. "I cut rocks and sell to people. This is my source of income which I thought of long ago" he added. UNHCR CBI intervention will help displaced families depend on themselves and start such small projects to feel safe in the place of displacement.
