The head of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Sa’ad hub – Yemen, along with the accompanying staff, visited the IDPs community center of Yemen Al-Khair for Relief and Development (YARD) Foundation on Tuesday, August 17, in Al-Marashi district – Al-Jawf. This visit was welcomed by the chairman of YARD, the manager of SCAMSHA in Al-Marashi District, the manager of Al-Marashi District, as well as YARD staff; Abdullah Thawbah, Khaled Shaja’a, Adnan Al-Qahm, respectively.
The visit was to discuss the progress of the implementation process of projects in the IDPs CC by having two meetings. The first meeting included the difficulties and challenges facing the team while performing their work. The second meeting was held on the same day to discuss the progress of the work of the IDPs CC and to have a mid-year review of what has been achieved and the lessons learned during the past period. In addition, new interventions were discussed during this meeting and what mechanism should be followed for them. During the visit, the head of UNHCR Sa’adah hub visited Al-Marashi Hospital to inspect the progress of work in the hospital and to know the needs that can be provided through UNHCR.
The visit concluded with thanks and appreciation from the side of UNHCR for all the achievements of the IDPs community center.
