A Series of Coordination Meetings with Service Providers Are Still Ongoing to Coordinate and Manage IDP Sites in AlJawf Governorate

On 6th of Sep. 2021 the periodic coordination meeting was held with service providers in Al-Jawf Governorate in coordination with the branch of the Supreme Council for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation (SCMCHA) in Al-Jawf Governorate, which was headed by the CCCM coordinator of Yemen Al-Khair Foundation for Relief and Development (YARD) in its office in Al-Hazm District.
 
The meeting began with welcoming and acquaintance. Then, it was followed by discussing the needs of the sites hosting the displaced and the mechanism for covering these needs within the humanitarian interventions implemented by service providers in the governorate, in the presence of a number of institutions and organizations operating in the governorate. This includes BFD, the official provider of nutrition and health services, as well as NFDHR, the official provider for food basket services and Kwader Foundation for Relief and Development. In addition, the protection officer and the representative of the RRM project from YARD were also in the meeting.
 
The discussion focused on speaking about the needs of protection, health and food, as well as the needs of shelter and NFIs .
 
During the meeting, the needs and gaps of the humanitarian partners in the governorate were reviewed. Furthermore, the latest updates and plans that the partners have about the possibility of meeting the needs of the IDPs hosting sites.
 
The field coordinator of CCCM activities also noted the importance of attending these meetings on a regular basis to ensure an effective humanitarian response to the needs of the IDPs in the sites.
 
At the end of the meeting, the coordinator of NFDHR confirmed its readiness to receive the lists of food needs. Moreover, the representative of the BFD conveyed their willingness to provide emergency and mobile medical services to the sites of the IDPs. On the other hand, the protection team of the IDPs community center confirmed their readiness to target the needs’ lists within field plans to provide the available services provided by the mobile team of the IDPs community center of YARD.
