Rapid Response to Newly Displaced Families, Az Zaher District, Al Jawf Governorate
In coordination with the Supreme Council for Managing and Coordinating Humanitarian Affairs (SCMCHA), and within the mutual Rapid Response of YARD, Shelter Cluster supported by Danish Council (DRC) and (UNHCR), YARD has responded to the needs of 16 newly displaced families in Al Sa'amum area in Az Zaher district, AL Jawf governorate. YARD distributed Non-Food Items including mattresses, blankets, kitchen set, water baskets and sleeping mats. In addition, the newly displaced families were provided with Emergency Shelter Kits to help them access safe shelter in the new place of displacement. This rapid response will mitigate the suffering of newly displaced families mainly during the cold winter season as those families has just arrived the new place of displacement having neither Non-Food Items nor safe shelter that enable him feel stable and rebuild their life.
