YARD Constructs and Furnishes 20 Learning Classrooms with 6 Bathrooms in Shabwa Gov.

To enhance the education rights and provide an appropriate and motivating learning environment for female students from displaced families and host community children in Bayhan District in Shabwa Governorate, Yemen Al-Khair Foundation for Relief and Development (YARD), constructing and furnishing 20 classrooms with (400 school desks and 20 boards) along with construction of 6 bathrooms in three targeted females schools named (Raydan, Balqis, and Al-Zahra). The intervention is implemented   under the fund of Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF) and in coordination with the relevant authorities in the governorate.  These classrooms were designed to be comprehensive and suitable for female students as well as those with special needs.  This intervention serves about 3,755 students. The project implementation began on December 28, 2023, and the progress reached about 70%, work is expected to be completed by the end of June 2024.

 

This activity comes within a project to enhance education in communities affected by crises in Shabwa Governorate.
