Inauguration of Cleaning Campaigns in the Targeted Districts of Shabwah Governorate

Within its efforts to improve health and environmental conditions and reduce the spread of diseases and epidemics, YARD launched on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, cleaning campaigns in the targeted areas of (Ataq, Habban, Radum) in Shabwah Governorate as part of WASH intervention project a project funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF). The inauguration was in participation of the General Director of Ataq Directorate, the General Director of the Office of Cleanliness and City Improvement in Shabwah Governorate, as well as the project team.

 

It is worth noting that the cleaning campaigns are part of a comprehensive series of activities for the rehabilitation and establishment of water and sewage systems and conducting community awareness sessions. The campaigns include the safe disposal of waste and solid waste accumulations.

 

This step comes in cooperation with the Cleanliness Fund in Shabwah Governorate as part of the foundation's efforts to respond to the urgent need to improve health conditions and prevent water-related diseases, especially in light of the challenges faced by the affected areas. The campaigns reflect the commitment of YARD to the communities it works with.
