YARD Implements the Distribution of Emergency Response Kits (RRM) in Al-Mukalla Governorate

November 28, 2024
With generous support from the United Nations Population Fund (#UNFPA), YARD has implemented an urgent humanitarian intervention and distributed Emergency Response Kits (#RRM) for 336 families affected by the recent heavy rains in Al-Mukalla city, Hadhramaut Governorate.
The distribution activity continued for two days, and the distributed kits included basic food supplies, health supplies, and personal hygiene tools, which will meet the needs of affected families and alleviate their suffering in such difficult humanitarian conditions the country is going through.
The inauguration of the distribution activity was attended by Engineer Saeed Qanbou, the representative of Yemen Al-Khair Foundation for Relief and Development in Hadhramaut, along with Mr. Niazi bin Salman, the representative of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in the Hadhramaut hub, who highly appreciated the humanitarian efforts of YARAD ensuring the importance of future partnership with YARD to enhance those efforts.
The emergency kits provided to the targeted families included a Food kit (IRR) provided by the World Food Program, a Hygiene kit (BHK) provided by UNICEF, and Dignity Kit (TK) provided by the United Nations Population Fund (#UNFPA) under the Rapid Response Mechanism (#RRM). This response comes as part of a series of humanitarian interventions implemented by the Foundation in Hadramout Governorate, aiming to provide urgent assistance to affected families to alleviate their suffering, and improve their living conditions. It also seeks to support local communities to enhance their resilience in the current critical humanitarian crises.
