UNHCR Team Pays Inspection Visit for Activities Implementation Progress in Al-Jawf Governorate.
During December 3 and 4, 2024, UNHCR team conducted two days inspection visit to Al-Jawf Governorate to get briefed on the progress of activities implemented by YARD within the Protection, Shelter, Camp Management and Coordination Project funded by the UNHCR.
The visiting team was welcomed by the head of YARD, some of local authority officials, project engineers and some community personnels in the governorate.
On the first day, the visiting team visited Al-Hazm District, where they inspected the work progress in the rehabilitation activity of the War Partially Damaged Houses and they assessed the needs of Water Drainage Channel digging activity in the district.
On the second day, the UNHCR team attended the inauguration of the Water Drainage Channel digging activity along with the head of the foundation. The team then moved to AL Khalaq district where YARD is constructing earthen barriers to protect the shelters of displaced families from the risks of floods in AL Kamb IDPs site.
At the end of the visit, the UNHCR team expressed deep sense of thanks for the project team appreciating the exerted efforts in the field praising the pivotal role of YARD in improving the living conditions of the displaced as well as affected communities in the governorate.
