Distribution of the Ninth Batch of Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance in Al-Jawf Governorate

On Monday, October 14, 2024, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) distributed the ninth batch of multi-purpose cash assistance to 1,420 displaced and affected families in 12 districts of Al-Jawf Governorate, with each family receiving 107,000 YER. The distribution was conducted through Al-Amal Bank agents in the targeted districts, under the supervision of Yemen Alkhair for Relief and Development Foundation (YARD), to address any issues and challenges beneficiaries may face during the distribution.
The distribution of the ninth batch of multi-purpose cash assistance (MPCA) is part of the collaborative efforts made by the UNHCR alongside its partner, YARD, within the activities of the protection, shelter/NFIs, and CCCM project, in cooperation with relevant authorities in the governorate, to help alleviate the suffering of displaced individuals amid the humanitarian crisis.
The implementation of cash assistance activities is considered one of the most important initiatives that grant beneficiaries the flexibility and freedom to obtain the necessary needs they identify themselves, enabling them to live with dignity within the community.
