As of the recent circumstances in Al-Jawf, the IDPs CC, which is funded by UNHCR and during 2020, has been providing the humanitarian assistance for 9 districts; namely: Al-Humaydat, Al-Maslub, Al-Matammah, Al-Maton, Az-Zaher, Bart Al-Anan, Khab wa ash Sha’af, Kharab Al-Marashi and Rajuzah. The services offered are:
- Legal and Psychosocial Support and Consultation for communities affected by conflicts.
- Referral System to the service provider who had been of abuse, violence or exploitation.
- The Cash Assistance in Emergencies for the most vulnerable people.
- Track and observe the movement of migrants and refugees in the Al-Jawf governorate.
The spread of COVID-19 in Yemen could be a devastating factor, due to the vulnerable existing health structure, especially in Al-Jawf. From the emergency response CC point of view to the COVID-19 pandemic, some inclusive awareness campaigns have been carried out among local communities, promoting the symptoms of the pandemic, transmission methods and the precautionary measure and procedures to avoid the virus.
