About the Project

With the escalating pace of recent conflicts in Al-Jawf Governorate since 2015, the UNHCR began providing support for the protection and emergency shelter project for the community center activity for the displaced in Al-Jawf Governorate to YARD to implement the protection project in April 2018 and has since expanded to include all districts of the governorate:
(Bart al-Anan, Bart Rajuza, Kharab al-Marashi, al-Humaydat, al-Zahir, al-Mattma, al-Maton, Al-Maslub, Khub wa ASha’af, al-Hazm, al-Khalaq, al-Ghail.
 
Those services that are provided in the community center include: legal and psychosocial services, the system of referrals to service providers, in addition to providing in-kind assistance in emergency situations such as shelter, emergency shelter, multi-purpose cash assistance, rent and emergency cash, as well as quick-impact projects in addition to transitional shelters and home rehabilitation within the 2022 activities.
It also coordinates and manages camps for the IDPs by establishing community committees to manage sites, provide awareness activities and improve sites through the implementation of maintenance activities.
